ETC seeks a Machine Operator to assist with waterjet operations at High-End Systems in Austin, TX. In this role, you would be responsible for using the waterjet to cut metal for our gobo designs, laser ablation, and operation of the 3D printer. Candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude, including the ability to use various measuring devices, read drawings, troubleshoot, and complete routine maintenance. Our ideal candidate will also have experience with automated machinery.

Programs sizing jobs
Performs cuts per specifications supplied
Responsible for meeting production requirements as scheduled
Performs routine maintenance of the waterjet and laser equipment along with any other tooling and fixtures
Evaluates cutting methodology to determine greater efficiency and increased output
Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies
Adheres to all company policies regarding job performance, attendance, safety and security practices
Attend identified training classes
Participate as a team member, works effectively in a team environment
Become familiar with tools and applications utilized by department
Learn department and corporate policies, procedures and plans
Other duties as assigned
Complete assigned tasks in a timely and positive fashion
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Mechanical aptitude to perform routine maintenance and repair
Computer skills
Ability to use measuring instruments
Able to read blueprints and engineering drawings
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to take direction and work with minimum supervision
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Proven ability to understand and follow directions
Basic English skills to understand quality, safety, work instructions, personnel information, etc.
Automated machinery experience desirable
Experience in a team environment beneficial
