ETC is looking for our next great Electronics Repair Technician. This position is stationed in our High End Systems located in Austin, TX. As an Electronics Repair Tech, you are responsible for the timely and accurate repair of ETCs ever-growing product lines, anywhere from lighting fixtures to lighting controls. Candidates should have an Associate's Degree or a minimum of 4 years of related experience, with 3 -5 years of job related experience and ability to troubleshoot and repair from system-level to component-level.

Representative Responsibilities:
Repair of customer, loaner & sales demo equipment
Repair equipment from system level to component level (including thru-hole and Surface Mount Technology (SMT))
Ensure customer units are repaired within two weeks
Ensures units are not returned for repair of the same problem
Completes Repair portion of the RMA process, detailing what problems were observed and corrected, logging time and materials used, and providing warranty info when unit is ready to ship.
Completes Engineering Change Request forms and forwards to Manufacturing Engineering when appropriate.
Applies Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), as needed.
Works collaboratively with other technicians and other teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Offers possible solutions to Technical Services for problems occurring at customer sites ensuring they are useful and based on experience and product knowledge

Maintains and tests parts and assemblies
Ensures PCBs tested in Repair Department have no repeat failures
Ensures untested PCBs are not used or shipped
Stocks shelves adequately at all times
Orders parts when quantity hits re-order point
Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment
Ensures soldering and other power tools, forced-air compressor are maintained and returned to the appropriate areas
Represents the Department in Quality/Developmental Meetings, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or 4 years of comparable experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline.
3-5 years of job-related experience
Experience in a team environment
Experience with problem tracking tools
Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of an Electronics Repair Technician I
Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks without general supervision
As an intermediate level Electronics Repair Technician, this position has previous troubleshooting electronic experience
This position assumes greater independence in assignments as well as decision making
At this level, the employee, having developed expertise in the line of work, resolves most of the conflicts that arise and determines the approach to be taken
Completed work is reviewed only from an overall standpoint in terms of feasibility, compatibility with other work, or effectiveness in meeting requirements or expected results
