ETC, a global leader in entertainment and architectural lighting, currently has an opening for a Software Engineer in the R&D Entertainment Controls department!

We are seeking engineers that love to code and have a passion for production-grade, world-class software that solves the real-world challenges that push the envelope of what’s possible in live production. Our flagship console line, the Eos Family, can be found in Broadway theatres, concert venues, film studios, houses of worship, and educational institutions of all levels.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll work on the Eos Family software platform, writing C++ software and using the Qt cross-platform application framework. Our 3D programming and visualization software, Augment3d, is tightly integrated with the console software and can offer additional opportunities to develop in the Unity game engine and write C# code.

The Eos software brings an exciting opportunity to work on an exciting codebase, more akin to modern video games than to spreadsheet applications. Our engineers partner closely with the product management team to shape the future of entertainment lighting. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, strong proficiency with C++, proficiency with concurrency/multi-threaded application programming, and experience in GUI development. Experience with Qt and/or a background in theatre is a plus. We will consider all levels of experience.
