Marketing Event Specialist

ETC is a global leader in visual environment technologies. We are looking for a creative and outgoing individual to join our Marketing team as our Marketing Event Specialist. You will be involved in organizing events and trade shows, assisting in developing social media content and training materials.  Candidates should be creative, organized and able to provide quick turnaround and meet deadlines.

Representative Responsibilities:
Trade Shows:
• Planning and execution of marketing shows/events
• Initiates meetings to complete shows/events plans, working closely with the appropriate sales and marketing resources.
• Generates floor plans, product lists, staff schedules, show handbook and other supporting documents for every show/event.
• Works with P&A Manager to identify and implement show promotions.
• Works closely with Marketing Managers to fulfill product requirements.
• Coordinate all necessary event services such as electric, furniture, rigging, show passes, insurance, and fire regulations.
• Selects and evaluates vendors. Negotiates vendor pricing.
• Tracks budget detail for each show/event. Projects future costs. Assists in annual budgeting process.
• Manages and works the booth. Performs as booth manager.
• Organizes ETC receptions and special events at shows.
• Supervises on-site set-up. Acts as on-site representative to address issues as they arise.
• Coordinates new booth design and construction.
• Prioritizes quality lead gathering at all events and distribution of leads to appropriate RSMs or other ETC companies
Dealer/Rep Training Responsibilities:
• Coordinates training events logistics.
• Contracts event locations.
• Tracks budgets showing cost breakdowns.
• Oversees assembly of training materials.
• Tracks attendees and coordinates registration.
• Generates post-event evaluation.
• On-site representative to address problems as they arise.
Marketing Communication Responsibilities
• Supports the Marketing Communications manager and product marketing teams to develop and implement tactical marketing communications projects, including: sales tools, marketing collateral, advertisements, tradeshow booths, open houses, roadshow, training events, websites, social media and training materials.
• Research, write and assist in the production and distribution of key company publications and other external and internal communications
• Monitor all communications with an eye to editorial appropriateness. Support corporate visual and editorial identity
• Provide insight into cultural differences between North America /Europe/Asia in relation to sales and marketing materials
• Act as liaison between product management, sales, marketing, and the creative design team.
• Effectively project manage the development, design, approval, production, and distribution of marketing materials in partnership with the creative design team.
• Champion the company brand identity across all developed materials
• Under the direction of manager, produces stories and case studies highlighting corporate projects and installations within ETC Asia territory to support the product and company strategies
• Cultivates and maintains relationships with dealers to support them with their communication efforts
• Works with freelance writers, product managers and market managers paying close attention to project objectives and deadlines
• Supports and participates in the marketing team’s overall objectives
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline – preferably Marketing, Business or related field
• 3-6 years of job-related experience
• Entertainment/architectural lighting/Live Event industry knowledge preferred
• Additional training in event planning and certification a plus
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation skill
• Solid project management skills
• Detail oriented and flexible
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Ability to work independently while juggling multiple priorities
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Documented success in  event planning with measureable results
• Experience with Adobe Creative suite a plus
• Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel 10-15% of time including some weekends and occasional holidays
