Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Exciting new opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to join ETC’s growing Health & Safety team! As our company grows we’re also expanding our health, wellness, and safety services for our employees/fellow co-owners. We’re looking for an enthusiastic NP or PA to help us promote the overall health and wellbeing of employees, and to provide onsite medical care. Qualified applicants will have graduated from an accredited NP or PA program with 3 to 5 years of clinical experience, possess a current and valid license from the WI State Board of Nursing for Advanced Nursing Practice – or a current and valid license from the WI Department of Safety and Professional Services for a Physician Assistant, and have valid prescriptive authority. Representative Responsibilities:
• Perform individualized patient health assessments to formulate an education plan that includes identifying goals that will guide a patient while self-managing their care.
• Perform related interventions as needed.
• Directs, initiates, and implements patient care plans.
• Provides nursing care and on-site services for employees
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
• Prescribe and administer medications, order therapy, x-rays and diagnostic tests as indicated.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, i.e., suturing, incision and drainage, and removal of foreign bodies.
• Schedule patient visits and follow-ups
• Maintain a library of accurate and appropriate education materials as an adjunct to counseling and education. Educate patient and/or family care giver regarding patient's healthcare needs.
• Ensure all equipment is operating properly.
• Clean, stock and maintain exam rooms
• Recognizes environmental and physical stressors in the workplace that may cause negative health impacts on employees, and actively participates in strategies to reduce those risks.
• Contributes to facility and corporate-wide team efforts to address Occupational Health issues.
• Works alongside medical and non-medical professionals related to work injury management, Wellness, ergonomics, and other occupational health and safety program issues to assure program effectiveness.
• Tracks and communicates applicable worker’s compensation and other health related aspects.
• Assists in health and safety items.
• Investigates and communicates employee safety concerns
• Assists with processing claim forms for worker’s comp
• Promote the following:
• Fitness centers
• HRA’s
• Wellness/active lifestyle
• Audiograms
• PPE
• May assist Health & Safety or HR as needed
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Minimum Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioners or Physicians Assistant program with 3 to 5 years clinical experience.
• Possess current and valid license from the WI State Board of Nursing for Advanced Nursing Practice or a current and valid license from the WI Department of Safety and Professional Services for a Physician Assistant
• Must have valid Prescriptive Authority
• Meet have and keep valid all state and national legal requirements to practice as an ANP or PA
• Competent in using electronic medical records and information systems in providing effective documentation of patient care
• Possess exceptional organizational skills, multitasking ability, and effective communication skills to ensure patients are well informed, and the clinic is well promoted.
• Prefer a wellness background or strong desire to learn and promote wellness
• Be CPR certified
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s license
• Proven ability to deal with all levels of personnel and to maintain the strictest confidentiality
• The ability to research and analyze various different types of data or information.
• Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government law.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
