Regional Sales Manager - Echoflex

We’re looking for an Area Sales Manager for our Echoflex Solutions line.  Echoflex is an industry leader in innovative design and the manufacture of wireless controls for lighting, temperature and process applications. Echoflex is one of the first companies in North America to design and manufacture energy-control products that employ ambient energy sources, such as solar harvesting and kinetic energy, to power the devices.  The goal of this role is to create new business opportunities and generate sales for Echoflex through implementation of the sales and marketing strategic plan.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years related work experience in the building energy management controls market. Candidates should also have increasing years of experience in responsible sales positions. A background in wireless controls solutions is needed, and experience with sales in this area is a plus. 

Representative Responsibilities:
• Coordinates all sales activity in an assigned territory.
• Facilitates sales and develops new business, manage relationships with dealers and manufacturer representatives in assigned territory.
• Attends industry trade shows and conducts product demonstrations.
• Manages regional factory representatives
• Supervises rep activity to assure that Echoflex has the best rep coverage for the territory
• Interviews potential new representatives
• Makes recommendations to management on hiring and firing reps
• Monitors and makes recommendations to management on rep territory coverage
• Coordinates dealer activity
• Monitors sales activity of all dealers in the region
• Makes recommendations to management about acquisition of new dealers and termination of existing dealers
• Resolves problems between dealers
• Helps demonstrate product and supplier information
• Coordinates directly with Key accounts.
• Looks for new business opportunities
• Works with dealers and reps to call on end users and specifiers (consultants, engineers, and architects) to get Echoflex specified on new projects
• Coordinates Marketing within region
• Attends regional trade shows
• Follows up on leads from national trade shows
• Coordinate and collaborate with other territory managers (architectural and rigging) to maximize business within the territory
• Other duties as assigned.
• Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion.

• Ability to travel for 2 out of every 4 weeks

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline
• 7 + years of job-related experience or extensive sales knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of an Associate Sales manager or similar position.
• Previous experience in wireless controls solutions and their applications and limitations into retrofit and new construction beneficial
• Previous experience in lighting controls sales beneficial
