Shipping Receiving Clerk

Become a team member based in our Germany office as a Shipping Receiving Clerk.  Previous shipping and/or manufacturing work, knowledge of shipping tools and the ability to legally drive a forklft and operate a pallet jack, is a must.

Representative Responsibilities:
• Greets trucks and delivers packages
• Compares to ensure that received goods are recorded on shipping sheet
• Pulls product orders and prepares for shipment
• Completes daily orders
• Ensures customer requirements are met
• Verifies the correct product ships against the sales order
• Follows proper packaging procedures
• Correctly processes orders that are shipping in SAP
• Researches most effective shipping method and vendor
• Uses approved vendors for specific shipping methods when appropriate
• Ensures custom shipping requirements are met
• Communicates shipping issues with other employees and vendors
• Ensures identifiable needs and issues are communicated in a timely fashion
• Maintains a stocked, neat and safe environment
• Stocks shipping materials at an acceptable level at all times
• Ensures that after shipping day is completed, floor is swept, tools are returned to designated locations and area is orderly
• Ensures protective eyeglasses are worn when banding and stapling boxes, and when necessary
• Maintains vehicles
• Helps maintain inventory control
• Stocks products in showroom
• Handles COGS
• Participates in product inventory
• Responsible for moving inventory by operating forklift
• Responsible for assisting with building maintenance
• Changes light bulbs, etc.
• Handles recycle products
• Assists with trade shows
• Works with service to load products and unload, when necessary
• Boxes up after show and ships products back to warehouse
• Make shelves for warehouse when necessary
• Completes daily data entry and reports
• Enters information and ensures reports are delivered to the appropriate personnel daily
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years previous work experience related to shipping and/or manufacturing
• Knowledge of database computer entry
• Knowledge of shipping tools (scale, labeling, hand tools, etc.)
• Able to legally drive forklift and operate pallet jack
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
• Computer skills: SAP, Internet, MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Organizational and communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of warehouse and manufacturing operations
