Technical Projects Co-Op

Department: Student Opportunities
Region: Midwest (US)

Join the Technical Projects department starting the summer of 2025 as a Tech Projects Co-Op! (This is an 8-9 month position for students starting in May/June 2025)

Come have fun, work with great people, and make money!!

Some of the duties you may be doing:
Support ETC and other products
Maintain a shared test space and associated equipment
Become familiar with tools and applications used by department
Set up test systems to simulate issues in the field
Test material and software to evaluate issues
Provide Technical support to internal customers
Provide technical support to ETC Summer Workshop and Technical Service training events
Ensures training workshops have adequate preparation
Ensures training attendees are educated on ETC products
Performs hardware and software upgrades
Performs specified upgrade to meet customer requirements
Completes follow-up documentation
Establishes and maintains relations with departments other than Technical Service (R&D and Manufacturing)
Ensures ETC is projected in a professional and enthusiastic manner
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 2 years study towards a Bachelor’s degree in Technology
3.0 GPA or above in core courses
Computer knowledge
Experience with lighting systems
Customer service experience preferred
Experience working in a team environment
Knowledge of entertainment lighting systems
Specific knowledge of ETC product line is desired
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to be creative and innovative
Ability to multi task
Strong degree of flexibility and independence
Computer skills (Outlook, Internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat Reader)
Ability to use product related software
Able to use hand tools, power tools, and electronic test tools
Ability to work weekend and evenings as required
Able to lift up to 65 pounds
Knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity
