Quality Engineer

Department: Quality
Region: Midwest (US)

ETC is searching for a Quality Engineer to join our team in either of our Wisconsin offices (Middleton or Mazomanie). This person will be responsible for working with other departments to identify problems, brainstorm solutions, and take action on implementing that solution.

Our ideal candidate will have a technical bachelors degree, experience working in a manufacturing setting, and have the desire for continuous improvement. ASQ certification is preferred, but not required.

Representative Responsibilities:
• Leads cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement solutions to resolve quality issues
• Collaborates with relevant teams and departments to develop and implement controls and improvements
• Ensures customer quality issues are properly investigated and documented
• Prepares formal reports for internal and external quality communication
• Ensures products adhere to company and industry quality standards
• Compiles and analyzes quality performance metrics and provides recommendations for improvement
• Develops inspection and testing requirements for materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
• Supports the activities of the QMS
• Participates in the internal auditing process and assesses non-conformance
• Represents ETC as a point of contact for vendor and customer quality communications, including on-site audits
• Provides training on process and system changes
• Supports strategic plan to improve the business
• Ensures that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations
• Provides overall support to the Quality Department.
• Will work in Middleton and Mazomanie
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Completes special projects and assignments in a positive and timely manner

Minimum Qualifications:
• Technical Bachelor’s degree
• 1+ years in a quality assurance environment preferred
• ASQ certification preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Track record of leading cross-functional teams to desired results
• Able to interpret drawings, specifications, schematics, and bills of material
• Familiarity with root-cause analysis, statistical analysis, acceptance criteria, and internal audits
• Able to train employees across all levels
• Proficiency in computer technology and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 or other Quality Management System
