Material Coordinator

Region: Midwest (US)

ETC is currently in search of a Material Coordinator to join our team in the Mazomanie facility. This is a first-shift position that works Monday-Friday with some overtime possibilities and a flexible schedule. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience with inventory transactions in a manufacturing setting, great interpersonal and communications skill, strong attention to details, and the ability to work independently and part of a team.

Representative Responsibilities:
• Schedule orders based on customer needs, availability of parts and a defined stocking level or build plan
• Reads an MRP to release production orders to manufacturing
• Create and reschedule production orders as required
• Set up sub-contracting orders when applicable
• Monitor production orders for correct receipt and issues
• Communicate with Systems Group and Project Manager for schedule of customer orders to ensure customer demands are met
• Ensures shortages are communicated and being expedited, and escalates unresolved issues to management
• Runs a capacity report and meets with Team Leads and Managers to identify labor issues within the department
• Follows the release process for “make to order” units
• Print project release drawings
• Review drawings and sales order
• Print customer labels for the product
• Update and/or create bills of materials for “make to order” units
• Create and maintain manufacturing routings
• With the aid of Manufacturing Engineering, Managers and Team Leads, update labor times to stay current with the changes on the shop floor
• Attach components to the correct operations based on their bin location
• Phantom parts as needed
• MPS
• Works with manager on monitoring master production schedule
• Updates planning spreadsheets monthly on network
• Work with QA on defects and timely replacements
• Review engineering change orders that relate to your product. Work with the Planners when phase in/phase outs are used in the BOMs
• Evaluate excess and obsolete inventory that relates to assigned departments
• Review RMAs that pertain to return to stock and create the appropriate paper work
• Aids in the administration of an effective cycle count program
• Maintains MRP views in the ERP system
• Plays an active role during cycle counts for their departments by evaluating counts and entering the information into SAP.
• Assigned to special projects and requests
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED and 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment which must include 1 year of processing inventory transactions and/or production orders or
• High school diploma or GED and 2 years experience in customer service dealing with inventory issues or
• Associates degree in a related field or
• Formal production and inventory control training i.e. APICS courses or formal training in supply chain management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interpret assembly drawings and prints
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills
• Proactive, assertive and self-motivated
• Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Previous computer experience
• Moderate keyboard experience
• Able to create basic spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
