ETC is seeking a Drafter (level to be determined based on experience and qualifications) who has hands on drafting experience to support our Manufacturing Engineering team in producing and maintaining clear, accurate documentation for both new and existing products. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail and confidence working with part, assembly, and wire harness drawings. Success in this role also depends on proactive communication, thoughtful collaboration with engineers, and the ability to stay organized while juggling multiple priorities. Representative Responsibilities
Assist engineers with documentation necessary for the successful manufacturing of ETC products. This would include assisting with the following per ETC standards:
Detailed part drawings
Wire harness drawings
Assembly drawings
Bill of Materials
Standard Parts Release forms
Produces and updates drawings for existing products
Correct information is used to produce drawing
Proper references are used to complete the drawing
Engineering Change Request (ECR) is investigated before changes are made
Engineering Change Order (ECO) is processed and approved
Revisions to part drawings
Revisions to wire harness drawings
Revisions to assembly drawings
Maintain drawings and their corresponding Bill of Materials (BOM)
Proper and complete information is found on drawing
Accurate information related to drawings is reflected in manufacturing system
Documentation files are distributed to the appropriate personnel
Coordinate release of documentation files
Provide task completion time estimates
Attend identified training classes
Participates as a team member, works effectively in a team environment. Capable of operating independently as needed.
Coordinate the project activities of less senior staff
Assists the manager in the training of employees
Participates in the ISO on the job training
Maintains & updates ISO on the job training records for department
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or its equivalency (GED) including, additional specialized training and
Depending on Drafters level
2-4 years experience or,
8 years of experience or,
Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design and 0-2 years of experience or,
Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design or comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline and 5+ years of job-related experience
Experience in a team environment
Experience with problem tracking tools
Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of a Drafter
Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks without general supervision.
Entry level responsibilities
As an entry level Drafter, this position has had little prior exposure to formal drafting procedures or processes.
The focus of this role is to attend necessary job related training and become familiar with the process and procedures utilized in the Organization
Employee uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instruction, but refers deviations, problems, and unfamiliar situations not covered by instructions to supervisor for decision or help
Supervisor assures that finished work and methods used are technically accurate and in compliance with instructions or established procedures.
Review of the work increases with more difficult assignments if employee has not previously performed similar assignments.
Situations to which the existing guidelines cannot be applied or significant proposed deviations from the guidelines are referred to the supervisor
Senior Level Position:
As a senior level drafter, this position has extensive drafting experience.
A senior has established themselves as a leader in their discipline.
This position works independently in assignments as well as decision making
At this level, the employee, has developed a large amount of expertise in the line of work, may be responsible for planning and coordination of assignments for others in the department.
Completed work is reviewed only from an overall standpoint in terms of feasibility, compatibility with other work, or effectiveness in meeting requirements or expected results.
Understands and applies accepted drafting principles and practices.
Mentors other Drafters with their professional development.
