ETCs Marketing team is looking for a Product Manager to guide product development efforts with our power control and emergency product lines. This position serves as the voice of the market for ETCs power control and emergency products. The Product Manager will perform market research to understand the practical needs of the user and to understand the regulatory and code environments required by this market segment. Technical acumen is required to be comfortable with both the history of our product lines and the forward-facing excitement to drive future innovations in a rapidly changing industry. This position requires confidence in public speaking, tactful written and verbal communication with internal and external customers, flexibility, and technical expertise to understand past, present, and future product capabilities.
Work location is preferred to be in Middleton, WI, though there are potential options for a well-qualified candidate. This position requires up to 20% travel, primarily domestic, with the occasional travel to our international offices, markets, or tradeshows.

Representative Responsibilities:
Product and Business Development
Assist with the management of existing products as assigned with supervision from other Product Managers
Research and document requirement for new products with assistance from others
Represents product management team on R&D development teams.
Documents user stories and needs
Participate in product development discussions, with assistance
Analysis Forecasting - Research
Monitors cost of production, profit margins, sales revenue, project progress
Research competitive products and compiles comparative reports
Interviews and documents customer research
Assists with creating product line sales forecasts
Communications
Identifies customer groups for communications.
Identifies product training objectives and delivers some training classes
Public Speaking/Demo
Performs product demonstrations as needed.
Presents products at trade show.
Public speaker on behalf of product line with assistance
Regular travel (up to 20%)
Performs other duties as assigned
Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or 8 years of comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline
All levels of job-related experience in sales, marketing, technical services, projects or other relevant experience will be considered
Experience with ETC or competitors products beneficial
Experience with theatrical or architectural lighting beneficial
Demonstrates good written and communication skills
Able to ask insightful questions and listen
Comfortable public speaker
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Able to work in a team environment
Basic computer skills
