ETC, a global leader in entertainment and architectural lighting, is seeking a compelling mid to senior level Software Engineer in the R&D Entertainment Controls department based out of our Madison, WI headquarters.

We are seeking engineers who love to code and have a passion for production-grade, world-class software that solves the real-world challenges that push the envelope of what is possible in live production. Our flagship console line, the Eos Family, can be found in broadway theatres, concert venues, film studios, houses of worship, and educational institutions of all levels.

As a Software Engineer, you will work on the Eos Family software platform, writing C++ software and using the Qt cross-platform application framework. Our innovative 3D programming and visualization software, Augment3d, is tightly integrated with the console software and can offer additional opportunities to develop in the Unity game engine and write C# code.

You should possess a minimum of a technical bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or a comparable discipline). The role requires strong proficiency in C++, proficiency with concurrency/multi-threaded application programming, and experience in GUI development. Experience with Qt or graphics rendering systems is preferred. A background in theatre is a plus.
