Electronics Repair Technician

Region: Midwest (US)

ETC is looking for our next great Electronics Repair Technician. This position is stationed in our international headquarters in Middleton, WI and travel is not required. The ETC office offers a unique work environment with a welcoming and inclusive team.

As an Electronics Bench Repair Tech, you are responsible for the timely and accurate repair of ETC’s ever-growing product lines, anywhere from lighting fixtures to lighting controls. Candidates should have an Associate's Degree or a minimum of 4 years of related experience, and ability to troubleshoot and repair from system-level to component-level. Our ideal candidate will also have a sense of curiosity, with the ability to solve problems and document solutions both individually and within a team. With nearly 50 years in the business, our products include classic and the most advanced technology, and we are looking for someone who has a desire to work on both ends of the spectrum.

Some of the tasks that you'll be responsible for include but is not limited to:
-Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment down to a component level, which could include Thru-hole and Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
-Experience in using test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
-Work with schematics and electronic theory to troubleshoot and repair electronic systems
-Experience in soldering and desoldering electronic components
-Maintain accurate records of repairs
-Work collaboratively with other technicians and other teams to ensure customer satisfaction

Minimum Requirements:
-Associate’s degree or 4 years of comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline
-All levels of prior job-related experience will be considered
-Problem solving and creative thinking skills, with an attention to detail
-Able to read prints and schematics
-Able to proficiently use a multimeter and oscilloscope
-Computer skills
-Able to work independently and in a team environment
-Able to communicate information both verbally and written in a clear and concise manner
-Experience with problem tracking tools
-Knowledge of production and quality procedures
