Representative Responsibilities:
• Purchases custom engineered product parts
• Proactively reviews the MRP report to determine and fulfill purchasing needs
• Source parts, research to find new alternative vendors
• Research and obtain quantity discounts
• Research and obtain volume discounts
• Communicate with engineers to identify quality problems
• Coordinates with Cost accountant prices that may change for rolling BOM’s
• May work with AP on terms
• Understands product and manufacturing process
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 8 years of comparable experience in increasingly responsible positions
• All levels of previous work experience will be considered
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred
• SAP experience beneficial
• Purchasing certification CPM preferred
• Experience in specific commodity purchasing
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks without general supervision.
