Looking to take your product management or marketing experience to the next level? ETC is pleased to announce an opportunity to join our RAYN team as a Market and Product Manager! This position involves working closely with sales and management to develop the path to market and provide input as we continue to expand our product portfolio. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a deep knowledge of horticultural controls to serve as a technical product expert and help guide our future in this growing industry. This position requires the ability to travel globally to represent ETCs RAYN line at tradeshows and as otherwise needed.

Representative Responsibilities:
Market research and analysis
Performs competitive market research and evaluation of products and services within RAYNs niche markets
Works with sales to strengthen RAYNs brand equity
Works with sales channel on go-to-market strategy, messaging, and promotions
Provides knowledge leadership in the horticulture market
Maintains awareness of competition and other market forces affecting the product line
Product line strategies
Organizes and participates in product steering committees
In cooperation with product steering teams, develops and recommends product line strategies based on market research data
Writes market requirements for new products
Integrates and adapts products for a market segment
In cooperation with sales, develops product line sales forecasts
Monitors cost of production, profit margins, and sales revenue to optimize product pricing throughout the product lifecycle
Serves as the customer champion on R&D development teams on product development for new and existing products
Identifies product positioning strategies that evolve with products as they move through their lifecycles
Manages all phases of the product lifecycle from inception to retirement
Provides vision in trade show presence and attends trade shows and conferences as needed
Product line communications
Sets the objectives for and leads the content input and review of end-user and service documentation
Provides internal and external training as needed
Assist marketing communications staff with promotion and communication for sales distribution and end-users using effective marketing language
Performs other duties as assigned
Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or 8 years of comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline
All levels of job-related experience will be considered
Market knowledge of horti controls, fertigation, environmental controls
Product management and/or marketing experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to ask insightful questions and listen
Effective public speaker
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Able to work in a team environment
Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
Able to use statistical analysis tools to forecast sales and analyze market research data
Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal or no supervision
Ability to travel up to 25%
