Engraver

ETC is seeking an Engraver to join our Engraving team in Middleton.Our ideal candidate will be an individual who has computer and panagraph engraving skills, is comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices, and is able to understand and follow complex drawings.

Representative Responsibilities:
• Engrave materials to standards and specifications
• Organize each production work order to ensure efficient completion
• Review prints and ensure errors are corrected before engraving begins
• Maintain expected productivity output levels and complete assignments as scheduled
• Ensure product quality meets standards and frequently check work
• Ensure final product matches the print
• Perform limited inspection
• Follow ISO procedures
• Use appropriate documentation, e.g., ECRs and NCMRs, to identify and communicate issues
• Work with other employees and departments to continuously improve engraving services
• Identify quality issues
• Adhere to safety standards at all times
• Ensure that safe methods and practices are used
• Abide by safety procedures, work practice controls, and OSHA guidelines
• Wear personal protective equipment when required
• Identify safety issues
• Learn new tasks and train other employees on procedures and processes as necessary
• Listen to, understand and follow instructions while learning new assignments
• Suggest and implement appropriate process improvements
• Recognize unusual circumstances and ask questions when necessary
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Maintain tools regularly
• Other duties as assigned
• Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion

Minimum Qualifications:
• HS diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
• Willing to train into the position
• Computer and panagraph engraving skills
• Able to use hand tools, power tools and measuring devices
• Knowledge of machine safety procedures
• Able to follow more complex drawings
• Able to understand the relationship between complex sub assemblies
• Proven ability to understand and follow directions
• Demonstrated ability to perform duties of an assembler II.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently
• Basic English skills to understand quality, safety, work instructions, personnel information, etc
