ETC is on the hunt for a driven, curious 12-month LTE Associate Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Systems Drafting team right here in Madison!

Youll dive into hands-on engineering work, partnering with our talented team to build BOMs, tackle electrical components for custom products, and help shape innovative solutions. Youll also get the chance to roll up your sleeves in the lab, testing new products to ensure they play perfectly with ETCs cutting-edge technology.

Representative Responsibilities:
Carries out the Associate Systems Engineer function relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Performs assigned project tasks under direct supervision.
Assists in the development effort under the direction of management and more senior team members
Assists in design modifications or improvements to development projects under supervision
Maintains project reference documentation
Assists in development of test and verification procedures
May assist in continuing engineering maintenance and manufacturing floor support of existing products.
Attends identified training classes.
Participates as a team member, works effectively in a team environment
Becomes familiar with tools and applications utilized by department.
Learns department and corporate policies, procedures and plans.
Assist in the design and test of custom products to project specification
Assist in creating bills of materials and electricals for non-standard products
Maintains project/product documentation appropriately
Perform compatibility testing and document results
Demonstrates ability to perform multiple tasks
Participates and contributes effectively to team effort
Participates in managing the Engineering Helpdesk
Delivers communication in a professional manner
Assists in the research of solutions to engineering and/or production issues
Assists Systems Engineers on various tasks
Other duties as assigned.
Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent level of education
3-5 years of job-related experience
Basic knowledge of electronics, electronic theories and practices
Ability to multitask
CAD skills, (AutoCad & Solidworks)
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to follow instructions
Able to use small hand, power and testing tools
Strong degree of flexibility and independence
Basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
Familiar with ETC products helpful but not required
